Access to the remote areas that we hunt is by helicopter or 4-wheel drive. The cost of hire of the helicopter if required is included in the hunt price.

Most hunts on the "GAME RANCH" for a single species can be completed in 3 days, if you wish to take additional species allow 5 days. People of all ages and standards of fitness can take these hunts.

The main hunt area is 4,500 acres on a 20,000 acre farm and includes mountains, open range and bush, non hunting companions can accompany you thru out this hunt as we use 4 wheel drives to travel and spot game. It is also possible for non-hunters to travel into the mountains in the helicopter during the insertion of hunters for Thar and Chamois. In this manner they can experience first hand the grandeur of the Southern Alps where these animals live.

Food and Accommodation
New Zealand is fast becoming recognised as a culinary mecca with the abundance of fresh produce from its farmlands, orchards, oceans and game resources.  Its cultural diversity has produced innovative cuisine and New Zealand's wines and beers are internationally applauded.  Hygiene standards are amongst the highest in the world and pollution is negligible.  Tap water is drinkable (the use of bottled water is rare).  Ask if you want ice or water with your meals.  Traditionally we drink tea or coffee after the meal.

Accommodation standards are high with a range to suit all budgets.  We use a full range from hotel, lodge and farmstay through to bunkhouse or bush cabin, either in the hunting area or in close proximity.

Facilities and Services
New Zealand has a very high level of telecommunications with phone, fax and email available in even the most remote areas.  Full banking and medical services are located within 30 minutes of most accommodation.  Most major credit cards are accepted, as are travellers cheques or $US cash.  Visitors should ensure that they have current medical and travel insurance.
